West Clermont @ Anderson Recap

     CINCINNATI, Ohio- West Clermont defeated Anderson by a score of 35-21 on Friday night. The Wolves jumped out to a 21-7 halftime lead. The Raptors would cut it to 28-21 early in the 4th quarter, but Bryson Earley would put the game away with a 9-yard touchdown run with 6:35 left in regulation.

 

     West Clermont had a great gameplan coming into this one. The Wolves doubled the Raptors in time of possession and rushed for over 300 yards on the night. The Wolves had 11 pass attempts compared to 50 rushing attempts. They controlled the clock very well.

 

     Griffin Scalf passed for over 300 yards, 176 of those yards going to receiver Santos Alvarez. The Raptors turned the ball over three times, while West Clermont turned it over twice. Offensively, Anderson played pretty well, outgaining the Wolves in total yards. They were just playing from behind the entire night. The defense for the Raptors had a couple of interceptions, but were understandably tired with the amount of time they spent on the field.

 

     Bryson Earley finished with four rushing touchdowns and 121 yards on the ground. Mysaun Sanders had 177 rushing yards.

 

     Anderson falls to 4-4, while West Clermont climbs to 4-4 overall. Anderson will be at home against Turpin on Friday night. West Clermont will host Milford on Friday night.
