UC Clermont @ Boyce Men’s Basketball Game Recap

     LOUISVILLE, Kentucky- UC Clermont defeated Boyce College by a score of 94-87 on Saturday. The Cougars had a 44-32 halftime lead and held off a second-half comeback from the Bulldogs.

 

     Marlin Lyons led the Cougars with 17 points off of the bench. Josh Baker had 14 points, eight rebounds, and shot an efficient 7-8 from the field. David Hunter had 11 points and six rebounds in just 12 minutes on the court. Greg Marsh added 10 points and seven assists as well.

 

     Brody Madeira led the way with 23 points and three steals for Boyce. Bailey Benham had 17 points and five rebounds. Tyler Nauert had 16 points and shot 3-for-5 from three-point range.

 

     UC Clermont shot nearly 50% from the field and outrebounded Boyce 51-to-30. 21 offensive rebounds was a huge part of success for the Cougars. 

 

     Boyce shot 47% from the field and didn’t play too bad offensively. The Bulldogs scored 55 points in the second half, but couldn’t get it done in the end.

 

Boyce drops to 2-7 and will play on the road against Welch College on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. UC Clermont improves to 2-1 and will travel to take on Asbury University on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
