MERCER COUNTY, Ohio– The UC Clermont Cougars beat the Wright-State Lake Campus Lakers by a score of 105-70 on Saturday for their third straight victory. The Cougars cruised out to a 53-31 halftime lead and outscored the Lakers 52-39 in the second half. UC Clermont goes over the 100-point mark in back-to-back games and for the fourth time overall this season.
Kenyon Gardner had a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Robbie Johnson gave the Cougars 22 points off of the bench and connected on a team-high six 3-pointers. Jack Kronauge finished with 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Luke Kirklin had a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Colton Smith had a team-high 13 rebounds off of the bench.
The Cougars shot 52.7% from the field and 39.1% from three-point range. They also converted on 75% of their free throws and had 55 rebounds as a team (25 offensive rebounds, 30 defensive rebounds).
UC Clermont improves to 10-4 overall and will look to extend their win streak to four games when they travel to play Ohio Christian University on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Wright-State Lake Campus falls to 2-11 overall and will play Andrews on Sunday at 3 p.m.
