CINCINNATI, Ohio- The Loveland Tigers will travel to Anderson High School to take on the Raptors on Friday at 7 p.m. Anderson has won four consecutive games and will look to get a win in front of their home crowd. Loveland comes into this matchup at 2-6. Anderson is 4-0 at home, while Loveland is 1-2 on the road. This game will include six of the top ten leading receivers in the ECC (Three Tiger receivers and three Raptor receivers). This matchup will also feature the two leading passers in the ECC.
Griffin Scalf is the leading passer in the ECC with 2,743 passing yards through eight contests. Joey Faulkner has 1,284 receiving yards and is the only player in the ECC who has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards so far this season. Santos Alvarez has 581 receiving yards for the Raptors. Wyatt Holt has five sacks for the Anderson defense.
Luca Aquilino comes in right behind Scalf with 2,049 passing yards. Aquilino and Scalf are the only quarterbacks with over 2,000 passing yards in the ECC this season. Cameron Delaney has 557 receiving yards for the Tigers. Reed Stewart is third in the entire ECC with 59 tackles on the season.
Recent History: Anderson is 5-3 against Loveland since 2012 and have won four consecutive meetings. Loveland has not beat Anderson since 2015.
Common Opponents: Anderson lost to Princeton 58-45 in week one, while Loveland lost to Princeton 63-21 in week two. Anderson beat Little Miami 43-42 in week three, while Loveland lost to Little Miami 24-21 in week six. Anderson beat West Clermont 49-7 in week six, while Loveland beat West Clermont 49-20 in week four. Anderson beat Milford 35-7 in week eight, while Loveland lost to Milford by a score of 48-34 in week five. Anderson lost to Kings 35-28 in week four, while Loveland lost to Kings by a score of 52-20 in week eight.
Expect a lot of passing and possibly a shootout. Don’t be fooled by Loveland’s record, they have scored a lot of points this season. Anderson leads the ECC with 308 points scored.
