Carlow @ UC Clermont Men’s Basketball Game Recap

     BATAVIA, Ohio- UC Clermont defeated Carlow by a score of 81-63 on Thursday night. The Cougars jumped out to a 39-28 halftime lead and didn’t lose any steam in the second half, outscoring Carlow 42-35.

 

     Josh Baker had 17 points and seven rebounds for UC Clermont. John Aicholtz and David Hunter each had 12 points and seven rebounds. Marlin Lyons added 12 points and three rebounds off the bench for the Cougars. UC Clermont shot 46.2% from the field as a team and only had 15 turnovers, compared to 30 turnovers by Carlow. The Cougars had 18 steals, while the Celtics only had 7.

 

     Malcolm Randall had 26 points and seven rebounds off the bench for Carlow. Tre’ Harvey went 3-6 from three-point range, scoring 16 points and dishing out five assists. It was a struggle offensively for Carlow, as four of their active players did not score a single point. The Celtics shot 34.9% from the field as a team.

 

     Carlow drops to 0-8 and will look for their first win at home against The University of Rio Grande on Saturday at 3 p.m. UC Clermont improves to 3-3 and will be on the road to take on Kent State Tuscarawas on Saturday at 1 p.m.
