Anderson @ Winton Woods Game Recap

     CINCINNATI, Ohio- Winton Woods scored 41 unanswered points to defeat Anderson 48-13 on Friday night. The Redskins were held to 13 points and 182 total yards of offense, which is their lowest output of the season. The Warriors had 477 yards, 282 of them coming from their rushing attack.

 

     Jackson Kuhn had a passing touchdown to Andrew Williams and a rushing touchdown. Kuhn had a pair of interceptions as well. Evan Upchurch had 73 yards on five receptions for Anderson. MiChale Wingfield had three rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown for the Warriors. Wingfield led the way with 180 passing yards and 129 rushing yards on just nine carries.

 

     The Redskins had a 13-7 lead in the first quarter, but momentum quickly shifted when Tyrek Spikes had a 92 yard kickoff return for the Warriors. Spikes also added 93 rushing yards on 12 carries, including an 8-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

 

     Tai’je Frazier had 101 receiving yards on four receptions, including an 86 yard touchdown pass from MiChale Wingfield in the third quarter.

 

     Winton Woods’ defense showed up big time. Quentin Jenkins Jr. had an interception, Mikhale Stewart had a fumble recovery, and Andrew Booker had a sack. 

 

     Anderson struggled defensively and turned the ball over 3 times compared to 0 by Winton Woods.

 

     Anderson falls to 3-2 and will look to put this game behind them as they play Milford at home this Friday. Winton Woods improves to 5-0 and will be home against Turpin this Friday.
