Anderson @ La Salle Game Preview

     CINCINNATI, Ohio- Anderson will travel to La Salle High School to take on the Lancers on Friday, October 30th at 7 p.m. La Salle comes in at 6-2 and is ranked 16th overall in the state of Ohio. La Salle was ranked number one in Ohio to start the season on MaxPrep’s preseason computer rankings. Anderson comes into this game at 7-2 and is ranked 63rd overall in Ohio. The Lancers are coming off of a 49-0 win against Stebbins. They were up 42-0 at halftime. Anderson is fresh off of a 29-22 win against Piqua. La Salle is a 2 seed in the playoffs, while Anderson is a 6 seed.

 

     Zach Branam leads the Lancers with 1,250 passing yards and 768 rushing yards. Branam has 10 touchdowns passing and rushing each. GI Bran Payne has five rushing touchdowns. Cole Schneider is the leading receiver for La Salle with 394 receiving yards and four touchdown receptions. Arron Byrd has four sacks and a fumble recovery this season. Jaylen Deleon has two forced fumbles.

 

     The Redskins are led by Jackson Kuhn, who is closing in on 3,000 passing yards this season. Kuhn has 21 passing touchdowns and is two rushing touchdowns away from having 20 in that department as well. Joey Faulkner, Evan Upchurch, Jerrick McClanahan, and Andrew Williams all have over 500 receiving yards for Anderson on the season. William Knott has five interceptions. Mitchell Dinkins and Max Muehlenkamp have two interceptions each as well. 

 

     Anderson is 3-0 in out of conference play this season. La Salle is 4-1 in out of conference play. La Salle defeated Little Miami 42-14 on October 16th. Anderson beat Little Miami 50-40 in Week 1 on August 28th. La Salle is the defending Division II State Champions. It is the regional semifinals and whoever wins this matchup will play the winner of Winton Woods and Kings in the Championship Regional Final on November 6th at 7 p.m. Kings and Winton Woods are the only two losses the Redskins have this season. La Salle will look to add their fifth title in the past seven years.
