MIDDLETOWN, Ohio- The UC Clermont Cougars won their fifth consecutive game with a 99-83 victory over the Miami Middletown ThunderHawks on Wednesday. The Cougars jumped out to a 52-37 halftime lead and never let off the gas in the second half.
Jack Kronauge hit four triples and finished with a team-high 30 points off of the bench. Robbie Johnson connected on six triples while finishing with 22 points. Kenyon Gardner had a double-double with 17 points and a team-high 13 rebounds. Landon Naylor finished with 14 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds. Caden Zeinner had a double-double with 10 points and a team-high 10 assists.
Ramy Ahmed hit three triples while recording a double-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Alex Mullins had 17 points and 3 rebounds. Jakari Parker had a double-double with 14 points and a team-high 11 rebounds. Will Brutus gave the ThunderHawks 11 points off of the bench.
The Cougars shot 40% from three and out rebounded the ThunderHawks 50-40.
UC Clermont improves to 15-5 overall and will host Andrews University on Saturday at 9:30 p.m. Miami Middletown falls to 5-14 overall and will host Andrews University on Friday at 2 p.m.
