CINCINNATI, Ohio– The Anderson Raptors opened ECC play with a 49-7 victory against West Clermont on Friday night. The momentum of the 52-10 win against Cooper last week carried into this game. It was an offensive explosion for Anderson, gaining a total of 518 yards. Quarterback Owen Scalf completed 20 of his 25 pass attempts for 351 yards and three touchdowns. Two of those touchdowns went to wide receiver Tegan Jallick, who added 125 yards on eight receptions. Running back Jordan Davis rushed nine times for 62 yards with a rushing touchdown, as well as a receiving touchdown.
West Clermont had 108 total yards and struggled to get their offense going all night. The Wolves rushed for 51 yards on 37 attempts for an average of 1.4 yards per carry. The Wolves struggled through the air as well with just 57 passing yards on eight completions. West Clermont exploded for 42 points last week in a win against Mount Healthy, but could not find their rhythm against Anderson. They will look to put this game behind them and find the success they had in week one going forward.
