The Cincinnati State men's basketball team lost to Columbus State by a score of 96 to 84.
Despite a game-high 38 points from sophomore guard Anton Hutchins, the Surge had no answer for Columbus State's balanced offensive attack led by Jordan Watson, Glenn Cosey and Darnell Tubbs - all of whom scored 20 or more points. Cincinnati State also struggled from the free throw line hitting just over 64% as compared to Columbus State's 75%.
After the loss to Columbus State, who is currently ranked 6th in the NJCAA polls, the Surge stand at 13-5 overall with a 2-2 conference record heading into a road matchup against defending Ohio Community College Athletic Conference champion Cuyahoga Community College on Saturday, January 28th.
